Flying Shear

A flying shear is a kind of shearing machine which performs transverse shearing on a moving rolling stock. It is processing equipment capable of quickly cutting iron plates, steel pipes, and paper rolls. Its performance will directly affect the production efficiency of the rolling production line. It is mainly used to cut medium and small slabs, thin slabs, small sections, hot-rolled and cold-rolled strip. The flying shear machine is generally composed of a shearing mechanism, a mechanism for adjusting the cutting length, a mechanism for adjusting the clearance between the cutting edge and a transmission mechanism. The flying shear can cut the rolled product to a specified length and can cut multiple fixed lengths on the same flying shear, which can meet the requirements of the rolling mill or unit productivity. The speed of the flying shear must be adapted to the speed of the rolling stock to ensure the quality and prevent equipment accidents.
